Lesson Policies and Information for the 2025-2026 Skating Season

● No-Show Policy: If a student does not attend a scheduled lesson, no refunds

will be issued for that missed lesson. You will still need to pay.

● Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy: Lessons must be rescheduled at least

6 hours before the scheduled lesson start time. If you do not reschedule you

will be charged for the full lesson. If you need to cancel please let me know

as soon as possible as then I can fit other students who wish to have a lesson.

Cancellations must be communicated with me at least 6 hours before the

scheduled lesson time. If you cancel at the last minute you will still be

charged for the lesson time.

● Late Arrival: Please always make sure to be at the rink 15-20 minutes early

to accommodate for purchasing your admission ticket, getting/putting on

skates and preparing to enter the ice. If you are running late for a lesson,

please notify me as soon as possible. Skaters that are late can not make up

the time that was missed. The full lesson fee still applies.

● Payment Policy: Lesson fees must be paid in full prior to scheduled lesson.

This policy applies to all types of payments. The types of payment that are

accepted are cash and Zelle. Zelle payments should be made out to

(929-414-9513) Any outstanding lesson balances will be emailed at the end

of every month. If no payment is received by the end of the first week of the

following month, a Zelle request with the balances owed will be sent out to

you.

● Lesson Package Payment Policy: Lesson packages must be paid in full

before any lesson credit can be offered. No refunds are given for lesson packages.

● Instructor Cancellations and Rink Closures: In the event I have to cancel,

you will receive either a full refund or credit towards a future lesson if you

paid before the lesson time. If the rink closes unexpectedly due to an

emergency, you will not be charged for the scheduled lesson. If you pre-paid

for any sessions at the rink, you will need to reach out to the rink directly as

I am not responsible for rink admission tickets.

● Lesson Booking Policy: You must schedule a lesson at least 12 hours in

advance to confirm a lesson slot time. If you do not confirm within 12 hours,

a lesson slot may not be guaranteed or available. All lessons are booked via

Acuity Scheduling by Squarespace. This helps to keep my lessons organized

and makes scheduling future lessons quick and easy. When you schedule a

lesson via text, phone or email, your lesson booking information will be sent

via email. I will still do my best to confirm by text 24 hours before your

scheduled lesson time.

● Media Release Policy: If you wish to promote your skating on the Coach

Joseph NYC Website and Instagram Page, please fill out the Media Release

Form. To upload content to be posted, please upload pictures/videos on the

Media Content Upload Form.

● Lesson Scheduling Agreement: If you schedule a lesson via text, phone,

email, online scheduling, Acuity scheduling, in person and any other form of
